Crystal Bio is a unique, eco-friendly glass media, heated in excess of 900°C, creating a hyper-connecting glass cell structure.
This produces media with a surface-area up to ten times greater than most plastic alternatives.
The combination of Crystal Bio within the Roto Innovation Shower Filter offers the user the following benefits:
- Increased biological filtration
- Very low media maintenance
- Added oxygen within the media aiding nitrification and within the Aquatic environment for the benefit of the fish.
- Increased fish stocks due to the extra performance of Crystal Bio over most plastic media.
- The Roto Innovation Shower Filter can be used as a stand alone biological filter or as an add on to an existing filter system.
These Koi pictured below have been reared and developed in Japan on ponds using Crystal Bio filter media.
The high skin quality and sharp colouration of these Koi can be attributed in part to the healthy oxygentaed water created by using Crystal Bio filter media.
Japanese breeders will of course use a very high quality Koi food to aid Koi development, "Ogata Special" is a good example of such food.
Crystal Bio is suitable for use in Freshwater Aquarium filters and Pond filters.
